J.D.Power’s 2025 U.S.Credit Card Satisfaction Study is out.
And this time, contrary to the last four years, Apple didn’t top the list, reflecting the company’s broader struggles with its credit card program.Apple’s score dropped 30 points from last year’s survey In this year’s study, Hilton Honors American Express took the top spot among co-branded credit cards with no annual fee, scoring 641 points out of 1,000, followed by Costco Anywhere Visa by Citi with 629.Apple’s credit card, issued by Goldman Sachs, came in as a close third with 624 points.
As J.D.Power explains it, scores are calculated from seven factors: This year, the study included responses from nearly 40,000 credit card customers, who were surveyed between June 2024 and July 2025.Compared to last year’s study, satisfaction across all credit cards rose just one point to 611.
J.D.Power said financially healthy customers saw a nine-point jump, while financially unhealthy customers slipped by one point, citing lower satisfaction with credit limits, account management, and balance transfers.Today’s news follows a report that said that Apple is nearing a deal with JPMorgan Chase to take over the Apple Card deal, as Goldman Sachs is looking to exit its agreement after mounting financial losses and a broader rethinking of its consumer finance business.
