Inspired by the podcast Firebug and created by Black Bird showrunner Dennis Lehane, Smoke stars Taron Egerton (Tetris, Rocketman) as a haunted arson investigator working with detective Michelle Calderone, played by Jurnee Smollett (The Order, Lovecraft Country), to chase down a couple of serial arsonists across the Pacific Northwest.The show also stars Greg Kinnear (As Good As It Gets), John Leguizamo (The Menu), and Ashley Gudsen (X-Men: Dark Phoenix).A true story-turned-podcast-turned-TV show Here’s how Apple describes the new series: Smoke premiered last week on Apple TV+ with a two-episode debut.
