New training programme introduced: Script Consultants in Animation! Deadline: 3 November 2025.CEE Animation Workshop is a year-long training programme for developing projects and enhancing the skills of producers and their creative teams (scriptwriters/directors/art directors, etc.) in the field of animation.
It is open to international animation professionals, with a focus on creators and projects from countries with low production capacity. The CEE Animation Workshop is tailor-made to suit the needs of producers and their creative teams who have animation projects of any format (short films, TV series, specials, feature films, hybrid films, XR) in development.A limited number of career-oriented participants without a project can attend the workshop and develop a long-term strategy for their careers in animation.In 2026, for the first time, the Workshop is also welcoming trainees for Script Consultants in Animation programme.
The call for the CEE Animation Workshop 2026 is open for the following programme categories: Project development During the one-year training programme, participants will have the opportunity to further develop their scripts, practise the art of pitching and gain access to inspiring lectures by recognised professionals and detailed case studies of successful projects. Career-oriented participants The career-oriented participants, who attend the one-year workshop as professionals without a project, are invited to join one of the project teams as shadow producers.They are expected to participate fully in all activities of the training, including individual counselling from experienced professionals in the animation industry, exploring options and next steps in their animation career.Script Consultants in Animation - NEW The two-year pilot programme for script consultants in animation is an intensive and comprehensive training for individuals with a strong motivation for script consulting in animation as a possible career path. The deadline for submissions is 3 November 2025. The 8th edition of the CEE Animation Workshop will take place from February to October 2026 and will consist of 4 one-week modules; 2 modules will be held online and 2 modules will be organized on-site in different European countries.
Participants will also have the opportunity to attend the CEE Animation Forum 2026 in Czechia.The programme is led by renowned professionals in the roles of group leaders, who closely follow and mentor projects for the duration of the program.Script consultants Phil Parker (United Kingdom) and Rita Domonyi (Hungary), along with renowned producers Réka Temple (Cinemon Entertainment, Hungary) and Annemie Degryse (Lumiere Group / Beast Studio, Belgium), will be reprising their roles as group leaders.

CEE Animation Workshop 2026 is organized by Slovene Animated Film Association - DSAF, CEE Animation, Slovak Association of Animated Film Producers - APAF, in partnership with Lillywood and Nordic Animation. The CEE Animation Workshop is supported by Creative Europe-MEDIA programme, Ministry of Public Administration, Slovenia, Czech Audiovisual Fund, Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, and Audiovisual Producers ́ Association Czechia.
