This Sunday, September 7, LA’s Laugh Factory is set to host Autism In Entertainment (AIE), a fundraiser that will feature star Dani Bowman along with a program of stand-up comedians, live musical and improv performances, and a special documentary short film premiere.Willie Hunter, Josh Meyrowitz, Nic Novicki, Alice Payne, and Jeremiah Watkins will headline the comedy showcase.
Bowman, also known for her work as an animator with her own studio/school Danimation, will reprise her recent Laugh Factory ‘90s animation trivia spectacle.The event also marks the world premiere of , a mini-documentary directed by Alex Astrella.The non-fiction short highlights stories from neurodivergent individuals and spotlights their talents and paths to achievement.
Staged acts will also be held from trainees of AIE Educational Partners Jazz Hands for Autism, The Miracle Project, Performing Arts Studio West, Spectrum Laboratory, and Yes I Can Unity Through Music & Education.“There will be neurodivergent individuals involved in every aspect of this production,” said Judi Uttal, Autism in Entertainment founder and workgroup chair.“We practice what we preach!
