For comparison, the iPhone Air is 5.6mm while the S25 Edge is 5.8mm.Article continues below ADVERTISEMENT Read more: How bad can a £69 Android phone be? The price is not listed but promotional images reveal the phone weighs just 159g, lighter than Apple and Samsung’s efforts, while the phone is resplendent in a green shade called ‘Lily Pad’, visible in the Pantone logo on the rear of the device.Motorola partners with Pantone for many of its smartphone launches. The page also reveals the phone has a 6.7-inch 120Hz OLED screen and runs the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset. This is not a flagship processor, so I expect the phone will cost substantially less than the iPhone or Samsung Galaxy. It is said to ship with Android 16, the latest version, and even packs in a 4,800mAh battery.

That dwarfs the iPhone Air’s 3,149mAh cell and Samsung’s 3,900mAh.Paired with a less power-hungry chipset, it could mean Moto’s thinned out phone could be the first with decent battery life.Article continues below ADVERTISEMENTDavid Snelling takes a look at the iPhone Air In a UK press release, Motorola said it would unveil a “premium smartphone” on November 5, with the rumour being this will be the X70 Air but potentially rebranded for western market.“The upcoming device combines cutting-edge performance with a design that pushes the limits of sleekness, and is setting a new standard for style, innovation and durability”, Motorola said.“The future is closer than you think - and it’s slimmer, sleeker, sleeker and made to last.”This all but confirms that we will be seeing the launch of the X70 Air - probably with Motorola’s Edge branding - in the UK.

It would mark the third phone to be marketed in recent times specifically for the fact it is thinner than the phone you have in your pocket. The only other phones that are thinner than these models are some folding phones, which are less than 5mm when unfolded, such as the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7.As part of the launch teasers, Motorola is running a website where fans can unlock weekly previews of the phone and its features.Read next           SUBSCRIBE Invalid emailWe use your sign-up to provide content in ways you've consented to and to improve our understanding of you. This may include adverts from us and 3rd parties based on our understanding.
