The studio delivered both previs and techvis for the action-packed, 12-minute Air Force One action sequence on the Prime Video comedy starring John Cena and Idris Elba.
Proof has shared with AWN and VFXWorld a brand-new reel showcasing their visualization work on the Prime Video action-comedy, .In the film, the UK Prime Minister Sam Clarke (Idris Elba) and U.S.
President Will Derringer (John Cena) have a not-so-friendly and very public rivalry that jeopardizes their countries’ “special relationship.” But when they become the targets of a powerful and ruthless foreign adversary —who proves more than a match for the two leaders’ security forces — they are begrudgingly forced to rely on the only two people they can trust: each other.Ultimately allied with the brilliant MI6 agent Noel Bisset (Priyanka Chopra Jonas), they must go on the run and find a way to work together long enough to thwart a global conspiracy that threatens the entire free world.The film also stars Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid and Sarah Niles.
Ilya Naishuller directs.Proof was instrumental in delivering both previs and techvis for Naishuller’s bold, 12-minute Air Force One action sequence.Under Previsualization Supervisor Steve Harrison’s leadership, a close-knit team of 5-8 core artists over 12 weeks used Maya to carefully plan out shot sequences and action beats, ensuring the scene stayed tight and exciting, even as it leaned heavily into comedic chaos.
Proof’s techvis and previs helped create grounded yet dynamic visuals of a CG Air Force One, with missile-attached perspectives oriented around real-world physics.They translated Naishuller’s heavily storyboarded vision into practical virtual scenes, giving the production a strong blueprint for executing the sequence’s spectacle and emotional flow.Enjoy the reel – multiple images are shown below as well:
