The SNXZB-02M is a small round sensor from Sonoff that not only checks temperature and humidity – but also air pressure.Nothing new there at chip level but most ready built sensors out there leav pressure out for whatever reason. The Zigbee-based SNZB-02M doesn’t.
Nice small round device – but the question is – how well will it work in Home Assistant? I know it will work as all Sonoof Zigbee stuff does – I very rarely go via eWeLink and this will be no exception. So I opened up the unit, pulled out the tab stopping the battery connecting – sorted – red led flahing – a sure sign it’s ready to pair with Zigbee2MQTT.In Zigbee2MQTT I started the join process and the device appeared immediately – I renamed it to snzb02m and ensured that Home Assistant was updated.
Next I checked the properties in Zigbee2MQTT.Battery, temperature, humidity, pressure and some calibration settings as well as link quality.Done.
That’s it.Battery is percentage – 0 to 100%.That works for me.Battery is a 2477 – shame it’s not a 2450 as they are slightly more readily available and cheaper – but I guess the larger battery will give better life – time will tell.
