However, it’s not the iOS 26.1 release many have been excitedly anticipating.Instead, Apple has just shipped an updated build of iOS 26.0 to beta testers.That’s because there’s a slight variation between the previously released iOS 26 RC and what shipped to the public on Monday.
The iOS 26 RC from last week carried build number 23A340.But the public shipping version was 23A341.Until now, the only way for beta testers to see the most up-to-date build was by disabling Beta Updates inside the Software Update section in Settings.
Now, that’s no longer necessary.Beta testers who check the Software Update screen will see a brand new version of iOS 26 to install—likely with no discernible changes.Alongside iOS 26, Apple has simultaneously released new beta builds for macOS Tahoe, watchOS 26, and its other updates to match up with the publicly shipped builds.
