MeTV Toons Announces Return of Mighty Mouse

The 2-hour Sunday block begins November 2; will also include the later cartoon series ‘Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures’ produced by Ralph Bakshi.
MeTV Toons has announced that will return on November 2 and will air every Sunday for a two-hour block.and other Terrytoons will also be featured prominently in the block, airing for the first time on broadcast television in decades.

The block will showcase the shorts from the , which debuted as a Saturday morning show on the CBS television Network in 1955 and aired until 1967, and the later cartoon series , which was produced by Ralph Bakshi and ran from 1987-1989.Originally debuting in 1942 as a series of theatrical shorts created by the Terrytoons studio for 20th Century Fox, is a superhero mouse with extraordinary powers.In 1987, Bakshi revived the franchise with a higher-quality production.

Animation historian Jerry Beck said Bakshi’s “foreshadowed the higher quality animation boom coming in the next decade.” MeTV Toons is available around the country on over-the-air broadcast TV stations; streaming on Philo; Frndly TV and Fubo; and DirecTV and DirecTV Stream.
