Apple Music should copy this new Spotify feature - 9to5Mac

Spotify has announced a handful of updates rolling out to its music streaming service starting this week.Among the changes are improvements to queuing songs, customizing playlists, and more. There’s one feature, however, that stands out most to me: Snooze.

Spotify’s new Snooze feature Spotify says that the new Snooze feature exists to let you temporarily hide a song that you’re getting tired of.When tap the Snooze option, that song will be removed from your recommendations for 30 days. The feature is being tested now with Spotify Premium users and will expand to more listeners soon: Spotify is also rolling out improvements to its Queue feature, including easier access to Shuffle, Smart Shuffle, Repeat, and Sleep Timer controls.

There are also updates to the “Hide” feature, which will now hide a song from your playlist across all your devices: Read more about Spotify’s latest updates on its website.9to5Mac’s Take I’m an Apple Music subscriber, but I do have to give credit to Spotify for the speed at which they roll out new features and try new things. In particular, I’d love to see Apple Music copy Spotify’s new Snooze feature.

I love Apple Music’s personalized stations, but they tend to repeat songs to the point that I get tired of them. The ability to “snooze” a specific song for 30 days would be a great solution to that problem. My favorite iPhone accessories: Anker Power Bank with built-in USB-C Cable Charge your iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods at the same time Bring wireless CarPlay to any car Anker MagSafe Power Bank Follow Chance: Threads, Bluesky, Instagram, and Mastodon.    You’re reading 9to5Mac — experts who break news about Apple and its surrounding ecosystem, day after day.
