Hulu Renews King of the Hill for Seasons 16 and 17

Mike Judge and Greg Daniels’ Emmy and Annie Award-winning comedy gets a 20-episode order after its successful return this past August for the first of 2 new seasons on the streamer.
The Hills are alive with the sound of a Two-Season pickup! Hulu has just announced it has renewed the fan-favorite animated comedy, for two additional seasons.  The streamer had originally brought back the show for two new seasons back in 2023.The first, Season 14, debuted this past August at No.

2 on Nielsen’s Overall Top 10 Streaming chart, and the series has crossed 1 billion hours streamed globally across Hulu and Disney+.  From creators Mike Judge and Greg Daniels, the Emmy and Annie Award-winning animated comedy originally ran on FOX from 1997-2009; it was resurrected at the streamer after being passed on by FOX.  The show  is set several years after we last saw the Hill family.Hank and Peggy Hill are now retired and return to a changed Arlen after years of working in Saudi Arabia; Bobby is 21 and living his best life while navigating adulthood as a chef in Dallas.Ronny Chieng joined the cast as the returning character Kahn Souphanousinphone, Hank's Laotian neighbor who lives with his wife Minh.

Kahn is arrogant and has maintained his superiority complex towards his Arlen neighbors.Judge, Kathy Najimy, Pamela Adlon, Johnny Hardwick, Stephen Root, Lauren Tom, and Toby Huss rounded out the returning cast.From 20th Television Animation, the series is executive produced by original co-creators Judge and Daniels, as well as incoming executive producer and showrunner Saladin Patterson.
