Certainly it’s good to hear that Apple’s working to ensure its software is “more functional and less glitchy.” But that seems a feat far easier said than done.Gurman’s mention of the increased priority being placed on stability, though, will hopefully bear good fruit.9to5Mac’s Take To be fair, Apple shipped an awful lot of new features last year in iOS 18 and its subsequent point updates.
Even with a design overhaul in the cards for this year, the company could still have relatively conservative plans for implementing other new features.And honestly, for many users, the design changes will be a bigger deal than any new features inside the Calendar or Notes apps, for example.Maybe iOS 19 will prove the rare unicorn: an OS update that combines a brand new design with Snow Leopard-like stability.
