That’s what differentiates the Kindle Scribe from the rest of the line.Along with its 10.2-inch display, it’s the only Kindle that is compatible with a pen.If you love to scribble in the margins of books and want to do that on a Kindle, this is the way to do it.The software lets you write wherever you want on the page, with a box automatically appearing to fill with your thoughts, and the text adapts around the box.The large screen is perfect for creating notebooks, with several templates available to make diaries, journals, planners and more.

This is useful in some instances, but I prefer using the Scribe as a digital notebook rather than anything more, erm, intelligent.More than anything, I love the large screen for my Kindle books.Although Amazon released an updated Kindle Scribe in 2024, the 2022 model is practically identical.In fact, they are so similar that Amazon even lists the newer model as ‘Kindle Scribe 1st generation - 2024 release’, with the £199.99 version as ‘Kindle Scribe 1st generation (2022 release)’.
The hardware is practically identical, so you might as well save some cash and get the one that’s less than £200.The 2024 model, which has different colours, is on sale for £259.99, also the lowest ever price it has sold for, according to Amazon.
