Today is Veterans Day and Apple is celebrating in a handful of different ways.There is an Apple Watch Activity Challenge available with a limited-time award as well as a new Time to Walk episode available through Apple Fitness+.You’ll also notice a banner on Apple’s website thanking Veterans for their service and reminding them of the Veterans and Military Purchase Program.
The Apple Watch Activity Challenge for Veterans Day encourages users to complete any workout for 11 minutes or more: If you successfully complete the challenge with any workout app that logs data to Apple’s Fitness app, you’ll unlock the virtual achievement on the iPhone, Apple Watch, and in Apple’s Messages app.You’ll also gain access to exclusive stickers that can be used in the Messages app, FaceTime, and more.You can also complete the challenge using Apple Fitness+, which is Apple’s own workout service that offers a variety of different categories of content. Speaking of Apple Fitness+, there’s also a new Time to Walk episode available with J.R.
Martinez, a former U.S.Army soldier.Apple says: On social media today, Tim Cook also thanked Veterans for their service: Finally, Apple’s website reminds shoppers that a 10% discount is available to current and Veteran members of the US Military, National Guard and Reserve.
