Apple TV+ had a strong first half of the year, and in July two popular returning series aim to continue that streak with new seasons.The biggest highlight is Foundation season 3, the latest chapter in Apple’s big-budget sci-fi epic.But new episodes of the crime thriller Smoke and heartfelt comedy Stick will continue rolling out too, alongside some other premieres like Acapulco.
Here’s what’s new on Apple TV+ in July.Foundation (season 3) When: What: Genre: Based on the award-winning novels by Isaac Asimov, “Foundation” chronicles a band of exiles on their monumental journey to save humanity and rebuild civilization amid the fall of the Galactic Empire.The Wild Ones When: What: Genre: Fronted by former Royal Marines Commando and expedition lead Aldo Kane, wildlife and camera trap expert Declan Burley, and ecological storyteller and wildlife cinematographer Vianet Djenguet, “The Wild Ones” blends rugged field adventure with groundbreaking science and conservation.
The team traverses six countries — Malaysia, Mongolia, Armenia, Indonesia, Canada and Gabon — deploying next-generation camera technology to capture rare and often first-ever footage of elusive species, including the Malayan tiger, Gobi bear, Caucasian leopard, Javan rhino, North Atlantic right whale and Western lowland gorilla.Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical When: What: Genre: “Snoopy Presents: A Summer Musical” is a musical special about the joy and magic of summer camp and the importance of preserving what you love.Charlie Brown loves camp and is determined to make his final year special, but Sally, a first-time camper, is nervous and skeptical of the new and unfamiliar place.
While everyone settles into camp, Snoopy and Woodstock discover a treasure map that takes them on a wild adventure nearby.Acapulco (season 4) When: What: Genre: In season four of “Acapulco,” present-day Máximo (Derbez) works tirelessly to restore Las Colinas to its former glory before the grand reopening.In 1986, when a competitor claims the number one spot in the annual ranking of Acapulco’s “Best Hotels,” young Máximo (Arrizon) will do whatever it takes to get back on top and secure Las Colinas’ future.
New episodes: Smoke, Stick, and The Buccaneers July is a little lighter than usual for new show premieres, but several Apple TV+ debuts in June will continue rolling out new episodes this month.These ongoing episode drops include: Stick, the golf comedy with Owen Wilson that airs new episodes through July 23 The Buccaneers, the Bridgerton-style period drama which runs through August 6 Smoke, the crime thriller from Black Bird’s team that continues through August 15 Apple TV+ is available for $9.99 per month and features hit TV shows and movies like Ted Lasso, Severance, The Morning Show, Silo, and Shrinking.You can also watch free in several ways.
