Writer Curtis Baxter (, “Miles Morales: Spider-Man Annual #1”) has acquired the rights to Robert Repino’s sci-fi epic, “War With No Name” book franchise, and has begun production on a series for Webtoon as well entered development on an eight-episode animated television series.The Webtoon series will be set against the backdrop of an animal-human war, following housecat Sebastian as he becomes the lethal assassin Mort(e) and travels the country in search of his lost doggie love, Sheba.
Baxter has released early character design concept art by artist/illustrator MuYoung Kim for the first season of the Webtoon series, which is expected to release in early 2026.Kisai Entertainment is set to produce.“Reading the ‘War With No Name’ franchise made me feel like a kid reading some of my beloved favorites for the first time,” said Baxter.
