I know that Halloween is a month away, but tell that to the guy down my street who's already got a 15-foot skeleton on his lawn. While that might be a tad premature, it's never a bad time for a good nightmare-inducing horror film, and Netflix has a coffin-full of 'em for U.S.subscribers to get in the mood for Spooky Season.
The selection below runs the horror gamut—from creepy in-laws with a macabre family secret and a hot babysitter who you should really keep an eye on, to a group of doomsday psychos, a deadly imaginary friend, and my top pick, a 1970s road trip gone wrong that is one of the genre's greatest of all time.5 Ready or Not I'm never playing hide-and-seek again Samara Weaving has carved out quite a niche for herself as a bona fide scream queen, whether she's playing the victim (like she is here) or the psycho (see below). In a horror comedy from the directors who went on to make and —Weaving plays Grace, who's just married Alex (Mark O'Brien), the heir to a board game empire.
So, it goes without saying that Alex's family, the Le Domases, really like games ...deadly ones.Every new family member must pull a game from a mysterious box, and Grace pulls hide-and-seek, sending her on a survive-till-dawn challenge where Alex's entire family is trying to kill her.

It follows Eric (Jonathan Groff), Andrew (Ben Aldridge), and their young daughter Wen (Kristen Cui), who are enjoying a cabin getaway when four armed strangers, led by Leonard (Bautista), break in and take them hostage.Leonard tells them that the end of the world is coming, and the only way to stop it is for the family to choose one of their own to sacrifice. Are they crazy? Will something actually happen? Weird supernatural forces make the dilemma in the cabin even more intense.

In , however, both nepo babies more than live up to their lineage.Miles plays Luke, who, as a young boy, suffered some trauma after his imaginary friend Daniel tricked him into trying to poison his mother, Claire (Mary Stuart Masterson).Luke locks Daniel away for years, but now in college, while under severe stress and with his mother's mental health deteriorating, a therapist talks Luke into reconnecting with Daniel (now played by Patrick).
Bad idea.In a sort of Tyler Durden situation, Daniel brings confidence to Luke, and even helps with his relationship with Cassie (Sasha Lane). But then things get sinister again when Daniel tries to take control.
