Mercedes-Benz is ready to release an EV edition of one of its most popular cars.The automaker has introduced a redesigned GLA for 2027 that includes a pure electric model alongside hybrids.The overhauled compact SUV has a lower, more "muscular" profile and extra interior room while sharing the grille and other aesthetics from recent redesigns like the new C-Class.

The new GLA is also billed as a mild off-roader.It offers up to 4,400 lbs.of towing capacity on electric versions, while a Terrain mode adjusts handling for dirt and gravel.
