Chevrolet introduced the High Country trim for the 2014 Silverado, giving the truck a touch of rugged luxury, complete with its signature chrome trim and saddle-brown leather.Since then, Chevrolet has added the High Country to four other models in the lineup, including the Tahoe, Suburban, Traverse, and Silverado HD.Now the High Country nameplate is getting what is arguably its most visible redesign yet, and Chevrolet is introducing it on an SUV before anything else.
Enter the 2027 Chevy Traverse High Country, the first vehicle to wear the updated look, with the next-generation 2027 Silverado 1500 following soon after.Phil Zak, Chevrolet's global executive exterior design director, said that High Country models play "an important part of Chevrolet's design strategy," calling it a "premium expression with a clear role across the lineup." According to Zak, the goal was to push the already luxury-oriented High Country trim toward something "more premium, modern, athletic, and aspirational," while still staying true to Chevy's roots.And to complement the High Country’s visual aesthetics, the 2027 Traverse will also include camera technology that lets parents keep an eye on their kids while driving.

The exterior changes are subtle rather than dramatic or over-the-top.The 2027 Traverse High Country receives a new High Country badge on the front doors and liftgate, a Tritan Satin finish on the grille and headlamp accents, and a set of 22-inch high-gloss black wheels with machined faces.Interior highlights include the Jet Black seats with Natural Tan accents, authentic wood trim, and a 17.7-inch diagonal center touchscreen.
Meanwhile, Chevrolet is adding new camera features across the 2027 Traverse lineup, including an interior camera with a feature called Cabin Glance.With the feature, parents can monitor the second and third rows via the center screen, which is useful on long road trips.The interior camera is standard on Traverse High Country and RS, but available for the LT and Z71.

Starting MSRP across each trim level The 2027 Chevy Traverse will be offered in four trim levels: LT, Z71, RS, and High Country.Starting MSRP for the LT is $40,800, with the High Country starting at $56,100.The Z71 and RS start at $49,100 and $55,800, respectively.
The 2027 Traverse has a three-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty, and six years of corrosion protection.Production begins in September 2026 at Lansing Delta Township Assembly in Michigan.
