Every weekend, I'm on the lookout for a solid binge that I can while away the hours with.Netflix is never at a loss for these, but at the end of each month (before the next month's titles take root), it takes a bit more digging to find a hit.Luckily, I think I've got a few winners for you—one's a new small-town crime thriller starring some familiar faces, one's a slick and deadly video game adaptation, and the last one is an Emmy-winning political drama with three seasons of backstabbing and sexy maneuvering.
3 His & Hers Sometimes, when scrolling through the titles on Netflix, it's the actors' faces or names that draw me to click in and explore a show or movie. That was exactly the case with , a new psychological crime thriller mini-series on Netflix. The faces in question are Tessa Thompson, who I absolutely loved in Marvel's Thor movies, as Valkyrie, and The Punisher himself, Jon Berenthal, who I've been a fan of since he played Shane in .
Their pairing in is a match I didn't know we needed.Thompson plays Anna Andrews, a tortured Atlanta-based TV reporter trying to get her career back in order after the death of her daughter.Berenthal plays Jack, Anna's estranged husband and a detective in a small Northern Georgia town—he's also reeling from the loss, but didn't flee like Anna did.
The two are brought back together when high-school friend Rachel is found dead.Tensions run high as Anna's tough reporter instincts will stop at nothing to get the scoop, often at the expense of undermining Jack's investigation (and using him for intel). But nothing is as it seems in Jack was having a secret affair with Rachel, Anna's hiding something, too, and the whole case is shrouded in lies and deceit.
By the fifth episode, there's a pretty tasty twist that changes the game.is sexy, dark, and twisty, and even though it has just a 67% on Rotten Tomatoes, as of this writing, it's No.1 on the Netflix global Top 10 list.

Netflix’s is exactly the kind of stealth-action fantasy series I've wanted them to make out of one of my favorite video games from back in the day.Sam Fisher (the perfectly-cast Liev Schreiber, ) is older, meaner, and pulled out of semi-retirement when a new operative of his old black-ops unit, Zinnia McKenna (Kirby Howell-Baptiste, ), stumbles onto evidence of a huge conspiracy after one of her ops goes bad. With a tight-knit unit at home base, including leader Anna Grímsdóttir and young, feisty hacker Thunder at the keyboard, lending support, Sam and Zinnia are on the run from a squad of trained mercenaries who are after some secret files that Zinnia has that will blow to doors off the plot.
Fisher may have been unwillingly roped out of his quiet life in Poland, but he's still got it where it counts, and the show brings all the cool, sneaky night-vision kills and brutal fight scenes that fans of the games love. The eight-episode first season was a breeze to watch, and I just kept clicking "Next Episode" until I had my fill. The show is slickly animated, tense, and surprisingly emotional for an animated spy thriller, and Schreiber (adeptly taking the reins from Michael Ironside from the games) is cool and gravelly as Fisher.
Rotten Tomatoes scores a solid 86%, with the response being good enough to warrant a second season that's somewhere on the horizon.Splinter Cell: Deathwatch 16 Animation Action Adventure Release Date October 14, 2025 Where to watch Close WHERE TO WATCH Streaming Network Netflix Cast Liev Schreiber, Kirby Howell-Baptiste, Bella Dayne, Janet Varney, Kari Wahlgren, Aleks Le, Kiff VandenHeuvel, Joel Oulette, Helen Hong, Navid Negahban Directors Guillaume Dousse, Félicien Colmet Daage Writers Matias Wulff, Naomi G.Davis, David Daitch, Derek Kolstad, Katie J.

Each season covers a different major plot, as well as a multitude of other internationally sensitive flashpoints that Kate and her staff must handle. It's a sexy, soapy spin on political statecraft that Russell is just on fire in.Critics love it (Rotten Tomatoes currently has it at 92%), and the seasons (there are three, with a fourth on the way) just keep getting better and more tense, especially when Allison Janney gets rolling in season two.
