Jamf expands AI assistant and launches new tools for Apple IT teams - 9to5Mac

Yesterday, Jamf announced a series of new product updates focused on GenAI, identity, compliance, and Apple-first device management.These features, showcased during the U.S.leg of Jamf’s event series, Jamf Nation Live, are designed to help IT teams manage and secure Apple devices at scale across education, enterprise, and healthcare environments Some of my favorite gear Abode Home Security System Abode is the best home security system and includes compatibility with HomeKit.

One of the announcements was the expansion of Jamf’s AI Assistant, now in beta.The update introduces two new capabilities: and .The search feature allows IT admins to use natural language to query device inventory, helping speed up tasks like auditing or troubleshooting.

The explain feature breaks down complex configuration settings into easy-to-understand language, which can help streamline policy management and reduce support overhead.Blueprints are now available Jamf also announced the general availability of Blueprints, which is part of its support for Apple’s Declarative Device Management framework.Blueprints bring policies, profiles, and restrictions into a unified workflow.

In addition, Jamf introduced a beta release of Configuration Profiles within Blueprints, leveraging a new dynamic framework that delivers all available device managements keys faster and more efficiently.Self service upgrades Self Service Plus, Jamf’s modernized end-user portal, also received new capabilities.Users can now view account information, reset passwords, and request temporary admin access all from the same interface.

These features aim to reduce IT involvement during onboarding while maintaining audit trails and compliance.Security upgrades On the security side, Jamf Pro now includes Compliance Benchmarks, built on top of Apple’s macOS Security Compliance Project.This feature lets teams automate endpoint hardening and align devices with internal or industry requirements.
