We are now in 2025, and there are so many MagSafe battery packs out there. Some are multifunctional, others have software touches, some can charge your phone fast, and they all have differentiators to help you decide. But sometimes you just want a beautiful-looking MagSafe battery pack that does all the main things great, while also looking slim, sleek, and stylish.
That is precisely what Pitaka was able to do with their new aramid fiber magnetic power bank. Here is what you should know.Be sure to check out our hands-on video to see the battery pack in action below.
First impressions If you have ever used a Pitaka product, then you will know they are known for making ultra-slim accessories while still being rigid and protective. They accomplish this by using an Aramid fiber weave as the base for most (if not all) of their accessories.I have used their cases since the iPhone X and have always loved what they offer.
Their classic case for iPhone is the fantastic blend of thin, lightweight but also protective and they manage to add Magsafe magnets on there for extra magnetic strength.Their new MagSafe battery packs follow the same design language. They’re wrapped in Pitaka’s signature aramid fiber, perfectly matching their cases.
The texture is soft but still grippy, and the rose gold aluminum trim gives it the right amount of contrast. When it comes to packaging, it was also ultra minimal, bringing just the battery pack itself. The specs Here are some of the specs you need to know 5,000mAh capacity Qi2-certified: supports 15w wireless charging 20W USB-C input and output LED indicators on the inside 0.88cm thick and less than 120g in weight While specs are great, most people want to know how much it will charge their iPhone.
Real-world use As stated above, this has a 5,000 mAh battery, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max is a 4685mAh battery.I used a 16 Pro Max, running iOS 26 Beta 1, and I went from 20% to 90% before the battery died. Many factors go into this, like the fact that I am on beta software, how you lose power because it is wireless charging, and how much I was using it while being charged.
So your mileage may vary regarding how much battery you get out of this. But for how thin, light, and portable the power bank is, I am very happy with the fact that I got 70% extra battery with this battery pack. Then you have the magnets, which are insanely strong.
This might be a combination of the magnets on the battery and the case, with the material choice they made for the inner portion of the battery. All that makes this battery very grippy and gives you confidence that it won’t just fall off.I also loved that it comes in all the same colors and designs as the cases, so you can easily match them up.
Pricing, availability & final take You can currently get this on both Pitaka’s website and Amazon.Pitaka’s website has them on sale for $59 and has six different color options. At the same time, Amazon has them up for $69 and in only one color.
Pitaka is also running an insane deal where they are selling their original color weave-designed cases for $11.99 with free shipping (these cases used to be $90!).These cases are identical to the new cases, just a different design. So if you want a no-nonsense MagSafe battery pack that looks good, is slim, and stays cool to the touch, then this one should be considered.
I am just a fan of the overall look and package that they are offering.
