Pony Canyon Announces Kaiju Girl Caramelise Anime Adaptation

The new series follows Kuroe Akaishi, a high-school girl who discovers her dormant powers when she falls in love with a fellow student; premieres in 2026.
Pony Canyon has announced that an anime adaptation of Spica Aoki's “Kaiju Girl Caramelise” manga will premiere this year.A teaser visual drawn by Aoki, a promotional video, images, and the main cast have also been revealed.

The series follows Kuroe Akaishi, a high-school girl who suffers from a mysterious illness and avoids others because of her awkwardness.One fateful encounter leads her to fall in love with Arata Minami, the most popular boy in her class.The moment she realizes her feelings, the dormant power within her awakens.

stars Hikari Senga as Kuroe Akaishi; Daishi Kajita as Arata Minami; Akira Sekine as Manatsu Tomosato, a beautiful girl at school who loves kaiju; Haruka Shiraishi as Raimu Kono, a popular influencer; Kotono Mitsuishi as Rinko Akaishi, Kuroe's slightly overprotective mother; Katsuyuki Konishi as Kotaro Hibino, a biologist; and Eriko Matsui as Jumbo King, the Akaishi family's pet dog.Teruyuki Omine directs for LIDEN FILMS.GOOD SMILE FILM produces.
