Googles excellent Pixel Watch has never been cheaper at Argos

If you have an Android phone, I thoroughly recommend the Google Pixel Watch 3 having reviewed it and worn it extensively, and right now it is on sale for £199 at Argos, down considerably from its £349 RRP.Argos says this is the “lowest price” the retailer has sold the Pixel Watch 3 for.The Pixel Watch 3 works with a Google Pixel phone, but also any other modern Android, so even if you have a Samsung, OnePlus, Motorola or any other brand of phone, you’ll be fine - it just doesn’t work with iPhones, unfortunately.The Pixel Watch 3 expertly blends smart features like notifications, third party apps (Spotify, AllTrails, Strava, you name it) with Fitbit-branded fitness tracking.Google acquired Fitbit in 2021 and has by now done a great job of integrating the Fitbit app with the Pxiel Watch experience.

Article continues below ADVERTISEMENTThe watch has a heart rate sensor and can also track your steps and stress thanks to skin temperature readings.All this data is presented clearly in the Fitbit app, alongside your sleep data if you wear the watch to bed.You even get a readiness score out of 100 that is designed to indicate whether you should hit the gym or have a quiet evening on the sofa based on your activity and rest.

There’s a 45mm option too (on sale for £249) which has a larger screen and better battery life, if you prefer.But otherwise the two models are functionally identical.Google promises 24 hours of battery life on the smaller model, which I found to be accurate in my time testing.It’s not clear how long the Pixel Watch 3 will be on sale at Argos.
