It’s no secret that Apple is set to launch a swathe of new devices this week, as the company’s CEO Tim Cook has confirmed it.In a post on X, the famous tech exec said: “A big week ahead.It all starts Monday morning!”, along with a looping video of a hand forming the Apple logo on what looks like the lid of a MacBook laptop computer.The rumours, spearheaded by Bloomberg Apple reporter Mark Gurman, point towards a bumper week of product launches from the world’s most famous technology company.

Since the £429 iPhone SE was retired, the £599 16e has been the entry point for iPhone buyers, £200 less than the iPhone 17.Article continues below ADVERTISEMENTLeaks suggest the 17e will get an updated chipset to the A19 to match the iPhone 17, as well as MagSafe compatibility, something the 16e sorely lacked.Article continues below ADVERTISEMENTGurman also says a “new low-cost MacBook” is on the cards, which would put it less than the £999 MacBook Air.
The laptop is said to be coming in bright colours such as yellow, and will run on an A-series chip usually found in iPhones, instead of the M-series chips Apple uses for its MacBook Air and Pro.Apple's John Ternus shares insight into the new iPhone This product could simply be called ‘MacBook’ and would resurrect that product name after Apple discontinued its super slim 12-inch MacBook range in 2019, having only launched in 2015.I feel this particular product, if priced right, could prove incredibly popular.It’s probably the MacBook I would buy, given the last one I bought - which is very much on its last legs - was the 2016 12-inch MacBook.Rumours also point to a new iPad Air simply upgraded to have the M4 chipset, which would make it a formidably powerful iPad if the price is kept at £599, plus an update to the entry-level iPad to have the A18 chip, up from the A16.
