Lamborghini just put wool inside a 907 horsepower supercar

Lamborghini's personalization division, Ad Personam, has been dressing up Aventadors, Huracáns, and now Temerarios since 2006, when it debuted with a limited run of Gallardos at the Paris Motor Show.Twenty years and more than 400 exterior colors later, the division did something it has never done before in a Lamborghini production car.It put wool inside one.

The material shows up in a new two-car set called the Temerario Ad Personam, which made its public debut at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed.A first for Lamborghini's cabin What exactly is Gessato? Lamborghini calls the material "Gessato," the Italian word for pinstripe. It's woven from virgin wool, with a black base crossed by a silver pinstripe.

Instead of running in the clean, continuous lines you'd see on a suit, the pattern breaks up on purpose.Lamborghini said the effect is meant to echo the sharp surfaces and constant motion built into the Temerario's exterior design. The wool inserts cover the door panels, rear wall, and roof liner, paired with premium leather, visible carbon fiber, and handcrafted stitching.

Wool isn't an obvious choice for a car that can hit 210-plus mph, but Lamborghini chose it for how it behaves in the light. The interlacing of different yarns gives the pinstripe a three-dimensional quality that a flat, uniform material can't match, along with a soft, breathable texture that stands out against the Temerario's digital screens and sharp trim lines. One of the two cars swaps the wool for something more track-focused, however.

Cars fitted with the Alleggerita weight-reduction package use Corsa Tex by Dinamica instead, an ultra-lightweight technical fabric that keeps the same discontinuous pinstripe look while helping cut weight. It's also better designed to hold the driver in place during hard cornering or more spirited driving. The first car pairs a Grigio Crater Matt paint with a Grigio Artis contrast livery, a combination meant to highlight the Temerario's body lines without being overly obvious.

The second, by contrast, is a bit bolder, combining Celeste Fedra with Bianco Phanes accents and the matt Alleggerita package, a livery Lamborghini describes as drawing from both technical illustrations and modern fashion. Both cars carry fine graphic lines across the bodywork that mimic construction marks, or the guide lines designers sketch out initially to map a car's proportions and surfaces before production. It's a small detail, but it ties the exterior back to the same idea regarding the interior, in that the goal is to show the creative process behind the car, not just the finished result.

Customers work directly with Ad Personam specialists and Lamborghini's Centro Stile design team to choose from a color palette that now exceeds 400 shades, along with custom embroidery, stitching, and trim combinations that go well beyond selecting options from a list.Even on a standard Temerario, Ad Personam offers rims in three designs: cast, forged, and carbon, along with carbon fiber trim for the front splitter, mirror caps, and steering wheel. The Temerario Ad Personam takes this same idea and pushes it further, swapping factory options for a project built around one specific vision.

It represents the far end of the spectrum, for all intents and purposes, as a fully bespoke project, built the same way a tailor works with one customer at a time rather than a production line (MSO from McLaren, Rolls-Royce Bespoke, and Bentley's Mulliner division have similar aims as Lamborghini's Ad Personam). The bespoke work is especially evident with the seats. The standard Temerario comes with 18-way adjustable seats that are heated and ventilated, available in a wide range of colors and four stitching patterns, more configurations than any seat Lamborghini has offered before.

On the Ad Personam duo, those same seats feature Gessato inserts with matching leatherwork, turning a factory option into a one-of-one piece built specifically for its owner. The power under the wool Underneath the tailoring, the Temerario is still a Lamborghini first. The 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 was built entirely in Sant'Agata Bolognese and spins up to 10,000 rpm, making 789 horsepower on its own between 9,000 and 9,750 rpm.

Add in three electric motors, and the total system output climbs to 907 horsepower. That combination gets the Temerario from 0 to 62 mph in 2.7 seconds and 0 to 124 mph in 7.1 seconds, with a top speed past 210 mph.The car rides on a new aluminum spaceframe chassis that Lamborghini said is more than 20 percent stiffer than the outgoing Huracán's.

It gives the Ad Personam duo the same track-ready foundation as any other Temerario, just wrapped in a cabin that looks as if it were cut from fabric rather than carbon fiber, or anything else for that matter.
