Apple TV is officially getting a price hike.On paper, it doesn’t sound like a huge jump, but the company’s pricing history makes the latest increase more noticeable.Now, at $14.99, Apple TV costs roughly three times what it did at its initial launch.
In 2019, Apple TV cost just $4.99 per month.Since then, the streaming service has been hit by three price increases in 2022, 2023, and 2025.The revised pricing is effective immediately for new subscribers, meaning if you were on the fence about signing up, there’s no way to lock in the old rate.

If you opt for a monthly subscription, you would be shelling out $179.88 a year.So, the annual plan at $119 is the quieter path through the latest price hike.Paid upfront, that works out to roughly $9.92 per month, which is significantly cheaper than the new per-month rate of $14.99.
The only trade-off is committing to a year at a time, but for anyone who watches Apple TV regularly, it’s a better deal than a per-month basis.If you pay for Apple TV via an Apple One bundle, then the price is going up there as well.The Apple One Individual plan moves up to $21.95 from $19.95, matching the same $2 increase in the standalone plan.
