You’ll only need more data if you are constantly streaming video or using your phone as a hotspot for other devices.If that sounds like you, you can go right up to unlimited data, minutes and texts for £35, which is about the current going rate for a totally unlimited, contract-free SIM in the UK.Giffgaff also charges £35 for this service, using BT-owned EE rival O2’s network.Where you might be tempted into EE’s new offering is with a perk called Data Parachute.This feature is available on any of EE’s pay as you go plans, and gives all customers an additional 1GB of free data if a plan is maxed out before the end of the 30 day term.

Unless you’re sure you’ll use more than 500 minutes per month, the pay as you go option is much better value as the price will not rise and you aren’t tied into a contract you can’t get out of.
