Deals: M4 MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac mini, iPad, more 9to5Mac

We have another busy day in Apple deals today folks, with some new all-time Amazon pricing across several of the latest releases. The M4 MacBook Air in Midnight has hit a new all-time low at $836 – the rest of the lineup is still $150 off – while the most affordable M4 MacBook Pro is $277 off to deliver the lowest price we have ever tracked online. The M4 Mac mini deals continue as well – the 24GB M4 and 24GB M4 Pro are also now at the lowest prices to date – and the new iPad (A16) is now starting under $278.

But there’s a whole lot more than that down below as well.  Apple’s most affordable 13-inch 16GB M4 MacBook Air in Midnight just hit the best price ever at $836 ($160+ off) I just recently detailed why I think the new M4 MacBook Air is such a good value, especially at the all-time low pricing we are tracking right now with $150 in savings across the lineup. Not only did Apple up the entry RAM setup to 16GB and load them with the latest M4 chips, but it is also released them at a lower price and they are now much lower than that. But we wanted to touch down quickly this morning to point out the Midnight 13-inch 16GB model – it has dropped again to a new $836.71 shipped Amazon all-time low.

Regularly $999, this is the first time we have seen this model, or any other 13-inch M4 MacBook Air fall this low – they have never gone for better than $150 off at Amazon since release earlier this year.Today’s deal delivers over $162 in savings to land at the best price we have ever tracked on online for a brand-new entry-level M4 MacBook Air.As of the time of writing, this is the only configuration that has dropped again, but we will keep an eye out for other colorways and storage/RAM configs throughout the day here.

At the point it’s hard to say if this deal on the Midnight will last for very long at all, or is rather sign of what’s to come on the rest of the lineup: 13-inch M4 MacBook Air 16GB/256GB from $849 (Reg.$999) 13-inch M4 MacBook Air 16GB/512GB from $1,049 (Reg.$1,199) 13-inch M4 MacBook Air 24GB/512GB from $1,249 (Reg.

$1,399) 15-inch M4 MacBook Air 16GB/256GB from $1,049 (Reg.$1,199) 15-inch M4 MacBook Air 16GB/512GB from $1,249 (Reg.$1,399) 15-inch M4 MacBook Air 24GB/512GB from $1,447 (Reg.

$1,599) Amazon all-time lows hit the M4 MacBook Pro: Most affordable 16GB now at $1,322 ($277 off), more up to $340 off Update: The most affordable M4 MacBook Pro in silver has now dropped to a new Amazon all-time low at $1,322.02 shipped – that’s $277 off.We are just starting to see the latest M4 MacBook Pro lineup reaching down to new Amazon all-time low pricing and the most affordable just hit its best price ever there. The entry-level 14-inch M4 MacBook Pro with 16GB of RAM and the 512GB SSD is now starting down at $1,347.68 $1,322.02 shipped to deliver the lowest Amazon price to date alongside deals across several other configurations you’ll find below.

As of right now the silver 14-inch M4 Pro is starting at the $1,347.68$1,322.02 shipped low while the Space Black is a touch higher at $1,360.51, but this too is the lowest we have tracked at Amazon or from any other online dealer you can order for delivery. We just recently sat down to detail the value proposition of the M4 MacBook Air with 16GB of RAM that is currently starting at the $849 Amazon all-time low.As I mentioned, the M4 Air is really starting to become more and more tempting to this long-time MacBook Pro user with its much lower price point, M4 chip, and expanded display support, but as pricing drops into the $250 off range on more affordable MacBook Pro models, the much better and brighter display, expanded I/O, and more traditional (silver) and sleek (Space Black) colors on the Pro are certainly worth consideration for some.

While the 16-inch models aren’t quite as low as they were earlier this week, just about all of the 14-inchers below have either returned to Amazon all-time low pricing or have hit the lowest prices to date: 14-inch M4 MacBook Pro 16GB/512GB $1,348 (Reg.$1,599) 14-inch M4 MacBook Pro 16GB/1TB $1,534 (Reg.$1,799) 14-inch M4 Pro MacBook Pro 24GB/512GB $1,747 (Reg.

$1,999) 14-inch M4 Pro MacBook Pro 24GB/1TB $2,114 (Reg.$2,399) 16-inch M4 Pro MacBook Pro 24GB/1TB $2,208 (Reg.$2,499) 16-inch M4 Pro MacBook Pro 48GB/1TB $2,558(Reg.

$2,899) Apple’s 24GB M4 Pro Mac mini just dropped again to a new $1,185 Amazon all-time low ($214 off), more from $506 Amazon is getting extremely aggressive with the M4 Mac mini prices this week.It has been a bit of a roller coaster over the last few days, with prices going up and then back down again, and then even lower. But the latest M4 Pro Mac mini has just dropped to the lowest price we have ever tracked via Amazon at $1,184.90 shipped, and the 24GB/512GB M4 model is following suit down at $860.66 shipped.

Details below.Regularly $1,399, this week was the first time we tracked the top-end M4 Pro Mac mini with 24GB of RAM and the 512GB SSD at below $1,199.And now, it has dropped again to $1,184.90 shipped to deliver $214 in savings and the lowest point of entry into Apple’s latest M4 Pro chip.

For folks not bothered by the more powerful pro chip, the M4 Mac mini with the same 24GB of RAM and 512GB SSD that typically carries a $999 list price has now dropped to $860.66 shipped. This is about $12 under our previous mention earlier this week and the best price we have tracked on Amazon.Again pricing has been a bit up and down this week on the Mac mini, but here’s how it lands right now on the configurations Amazon offers – the most affordable has, at the time of writing, jumped back up to $506, or $11 above the deal we featured yesterday but still well under the regular $599 list.

M4 Mac mini 16GB/256GB $506 (Reg.$599) M4 Mac mini 16GB/512GB $743 (Reg.$799) M4 Mac mini 24GB/512GB $860 (Reg.

$999) M4 Pro Mac mini 24GB/512GB $1,185 (Reg.$1,399) Apple’s new 11-inch iPad (A16) just hit the best Amazon price ever from $278 shipped Okay, so the yellow color might not have been on the top of your list, but we are talking about a brand-new, current-generation iPad at under $280 here.Regularly $350, Apple upgraded its entry-level iPad offering with the new 11-inch iPad (A16) this year and you can now land one at Amazon starting from $277.78 shipped.

Most of the colors, or perhaps the more sought-after blue and silver variants are still sitting at the $299 Amazon low.But the yellow variant has now dropped to just under $278 while the pink variant has fallen to $288.39 shipped – its best price to date at Amazon.I don’t particularly mind the yellow paint job here, but if you’re looking for the lowest possible price to bring home Apple’s new tablet for you and the family, you might want to just cover it with a case anyway.

Either way, we are heading into Mother’s Day weekend with the best prices we have tracked to date at Amazon on Apple’s most affordable casual tablet experience. The non-Apple Intelligence supporting A16 model isn’t for everyone, but we have recently detailed the value proposition between it and the iPad mini (A17 Pro), which is also starting down at $399 lows, right here, and you’ll find even more iPad deals below: Rare chance to score the most affordable Apple Intelligence-compatible 13-inch M2 iPad Pro at $499 off Apple Pencil Pro nearly 25% off at Amazon, or open-box at over 43% off: Deals from $73 iPad (A16) vs.iPad mini: Apple’s most affordable models now at all-time lows from $299 – which is the better buy? We very rarely see deals on the more affordable side of the 6th generation M2 iPad Pro lineup, but Costco is now offering the 128GB model down at $699.99 plus $5 shipping for members – that’s $499 off the original price.Again, we get it, this is not a deal for everyone, but we are talking about what has become an increasingly rare opportunity – there has been less a small handful of opportunities to score a deal like this on anything less than the far more pricey 1TB+ M2 iPad Pro over the last year from a reputable source. Now nearly $500 off, this is 41% under the original asking price on this model and $30 less than the best price we can find for a refurbished unit on Best Buy right now.

For further comparison, the most affordable M4 iPad Pro (Apple skipped the M3 with its pro-grade tablets), carries a $1,299 list price and is currently on sale at a new $1,087 all-time low on Amazon.iPad (A16) vs.iPad mini: Apple’s most affordable models now at all-time lows from $299 – which is the better buy? As of right now, both of the most affordable latest-model iPad releases are currently sitting at all-time low pricing – the new 11-inch iPad (A16) and the iPad mini (A17 Pro).

For folks looking to land a new iPad right now on the most affordable end of the current-generation the spectrum, these are the two models you’ll be looking at.The iPad (A16) that released earlier this year is now starting at the $299 Amazon all-time low and the latest iPad mini (A17 Pro) that debuted last fall is now starting at $399, or $100 off.But which is the better buy? Well, like all of these sorts of questions it’s really going to come down to what you use the iPad for the most and which size you prefer.

While not an exhaustive comparison, let’s take a look at some main comparison points between the two models to help the cause. The new iPad (A16) is 11-inches and the mini is, well mini, at an ultra-manageable 8.3-inches.One offers more screen restate for drawing, writing, typing, and watching movies, whereas the other is ultra-compact and a little easier to hold in the hands.

Another aspect to consider in the size department is the keyboard.Apple and other brands make keyboard cases for the less powerful iPad (A16) that make transforming it into a casual workspace, let’s say, a more elegant proposition.Whereas with the mini, you’ll likely have to deal with the on-screen keyboard or some kind of un-attached Bluetooth deck you’ll have to carry with you that will in some ways negate its portability advantage.

If you want to use an Apple Magic Keyboard-like device, the iPad (A16) is likely a better option. It is also worth noting that buying Apple’s Magic Keyboard for the A16 will have you spending more than the price of the iPad mini right now ($99 more) Now, if it wasn’t already obvious by the naming scheme and price here, the iPad mini (A17 Pro) is a more powerful machine, but not so much so that it will even be all that noticeable for folks not making use of resource intensive applications. And most folks considering these two models likely aren’t doing all that much of that – the mini has more RAM and a more powerful chip allowing it to remain a little bit more snappy an responsive the going gets tough though.

Where this might matter to you is with Apple Intelligence. If you like Apple Intelligence on your phone, or perhaps believe it makes more sense to invest in a machine that will support it as it gets better down the line, the iPad mini (A17 Pro) is the machine for you – the iPad (A16) does not support Apple Intelligence at all.For me, as someone who has used both models, it’s the mini all the way…but I just happen to prefer the smaller form-factor in my hands and appreciate the portability.

I also do not use an iPad for typing tasks – that’s what the MacBook/desktop machines are for in my case.In my experience, and in talking to folks that do use an iPad for typing – school work, typing/filling out documents for work, and so on – the mini just doesn’t cut it the way they need it to.iPad mini (A17 Pro) deals: iPad mini A17 Pro 128GB $399 (Reg.

$499) iPad mini A17 Pro 256GB $499 (Reg.$599) iPad mini A17 Pro 256GB $699 (Reg.$799) iPad (A16) deals: 128GB iPad (A16) from $299 (Reg.

$349) 256GB iPad (A16) from $399 (Reg.$449) 512GB iPad (A16) from $599 (Reg.$649) And lastly, the price – the iPad (A16) is $100 less with the current all-time low Amazon pricing.

For casual users they are both great buys, but if you like the idea of a more full size display for video and the more roomy typing setup, save the $100 and go for the $299 A16.Prefer the ultra-compact setup and don’t need a keyboard case, or perhaps want to dabble in Apple intelligence, the iPad mini (A17 Pro) seems to be the way to go.Apple Pencil Pro nearly 25% off at Amazon, or open-box at over 43% off: Deals from $73 Still live: AirPods 4 just dropped back to the $99 Amazon low, AirPods Pro 2 now $169 ($80 off) Amazon all-time low pricing returns on latest iPad mini today at $100 off, deals from $399 Alongside the ongoing $100 price drops across the latest M3 iPad Air lineup, Amazon has now brought back its all-time low pricing on the most affordable, latest-generation iPad mini (A17 Pro).

Regularly $499, you can now land all four colors down at $399 shipped on Amazon to match our previous mention and the lowest we have tracked to date. Not only are we also seeing the Wi-Fi + Cell models of the entry-level 128GB model at $100 off, dropping from the regular $649 down to $549 shipped, but the $100 discounts are also hitting the rest of the lineup, including the 256GB and 512GB variants.iPad mini A17 Pro 128GB $399 (Reg.

$499) iPad mini A17 Pro 256GB $499 (Reg.$599) iPad mini A17 Pro 256GB $699 (Reg.$799) While Apple has unleashed its new 11-inch entry-level iPad since the latest mini arrived back in October, the mini is the most affordable model in the current-generation lineup that can support Apple Intelligence.

The new 11-inch comes packed with the A16 chip and, while a wonderful casual machine considering you can score one at the $299 all-time low right now, the latest mini is a more powerful Apple tablet and comes in with that ultra-manageable 8.3-inch Liquid Retina Display you won’t find elsewhere in the lineup. Not to mention the 30% jump in CPU power, 25% better graphics performance, and upgraded storage capacity tiers.Just for comparison’s sake, here’s how the all-time low pricing shakes out on the new 11-inch iPad right now: 128GB iPad (A16) from $299 (Reg.
