Today, reMarkable announced a much smaller version of the reMarkable Paper Pro, dubbed Paper Pro Move.It comes in at a much lower price tag, and still packs all of the beloved features of the larger reMarkable Paper Pro.It’s designed for work on the go, and can easily be slipped in a jacket pocket, bag, or purse.
I reviewed the reMarkable Paper Pro earlier this year – and it was an excellent product.The only issue I took with it was the price.Not because I felt that it was overpriced, but because it was priced in a way that only made sense for people who were extremely committed to the minimal, distraction-free, and hyper-focused lifestyle that the reMarkable Paper Pro was designed around.
New 7.3-inch ‘Move’ variant The 11.8-inch version of the reMarkable Paper Pro came in at $679 with the excellent Marker Plus stylus.Now, the 7.3-inch reMarkable Paper Pro Move comes in at just $499 with the same Marker Plus.That’s the same price point as an iPad mini – and that doesn’t even account for the fact that the iPad mini doesn’t come with an Apple Pencil.
The new Paper Pro Move comes with everything I loved about the larger Paper Pro.Its excellent ‘Color Canvas’ e-ink display, the premium build, its adjustable reading light, and reMarkable’s excellent software all carry over to this much smaller device.With the new $499 price point of the reMarkable Paper Pro Move, it’s a much easier purchase to justify.
