‘Juliet & the King’ received the festival’s Streamtacular Award; ‘Flow’ was honored with the Best Film Award; the short ‘Sweeter Is the Night’ earned three honors, including Best Director and Best Short Film.
The Palm Springs International Animation Festival (PSIAF) has announced its 2025 Winners, marking the conclusion of the festival’s 7th edition, presented in partnership with the virtual platform Streamtacular.com.“PSIAF continues to champion animation as a powerful art form, with a special focus on its international scope, which welcomes both established and emerging talent from around the world whose work pushes the boundaries of storytelling and visual artistry,” said festival executive producers Christopher Spellman and Brian Hoff.
Notable winners include: The Iranian animated feature , written, directed, and produced by Ashkan Rahgozar, received the Streamtacular Award.Latvian feature , directed by Gints Zilbalodis and written/produced by Zilbalodis and Matīss Kaža, was honored with the Best Film Award.The French short , written and directed by Fabienne Wagenaar, earned three major honors, including Best Director and Best Short Film.
“In addition to recognizing individual achievements, PSIAF expanded its categories in 2025 to honor new forms of storytelling, including the Poetry in Motion Award, celebrating the fusion of lyrical narrative and visual artistry, and the Maracuja Award, spotlighting films with global initiatives and humanitarian themes at their core,” said festival executive producer Sid Passey.You can find the rest of the winning films on the festival website.
