We last encountered NVIDIA's premiere laptop platform at Computex Taipei 2026, where its reveal was accompanied by a sea of applause and several rockstar-like victory laps by NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang.Now, at IFA 2026, several laptop makers are showing off their first go at an RTX Spark laptop, though Lenovo's Yoga 9n is the one that really caught our attention.The new Lenovo Yoga 9n boasts a 20-core Grace CPU with a Blackwell RTX GPU (up to 6,144 cores).
It's primed for local AI development as well as "advanced RTX gaming," and like all RTX Spark machines, it utilizes Windows on ARM.It's essentially Windows' answer to the MacBook Pro but filtered through Lenovo's eyes.Naturally, Yoga 9n has all the hallmarks of a flagship Lenovo laptop, which is a big part of the appeal.
The 15.3-inch 1600p OLED screen is fantastic, there's a healthy port selection (including an SD card reader and HDMI port), the keyboard and trackpad are solid, and you can configure the laptop with a maximum 128GB of RAM and 4TB of storage (spread across two SSDs).We that RTX Spark is a groundbreaking development for Windows laptops, and we that the Yoga 9n is the best introduction to NVIDIA's new platform.But there's still so many questions here, including the price, the launch date, and game compatibility (though NVIDIA says it's working with developers to make anti-cheat software compatible with RTX Spark).
There's still some answers to be questioned about the RTX Spark vs.Apple Silicon debate, too, as the Mac specs are still superior in key AI benchmarks like LLM inference generation speed.Dell 14S A Neo by any other name Close We met with Dell for the launch of its refreshed XPS 13 earlier this year.
And like many other tech enthusiasts, we compared the XPS 13 to the MacBook Neo—a comparison that feels a little silly now that Dell is showing off its new 14S.It's fair to say that the 14S is Dell's full-throated response to Apple's most affordable laptop.Dell trimmed the 14S's weight to a neat 2.53lbs (down from 3.4lbs in the previous model), bumped the battery life up to an estimated 21 hours (versus the Neo's 16 hours), and finagled an affordable hardware configuration for entry-level users; a Core 5 320 processor, a minimum 8GB of memory, and 256GB of storage (though you can opt for a respective 16GB and 1TB of RAM and storage).
The hardware also beats MacBook Neo in some key areas, such as the larger 14-inch screen, the inclusion of an actual HDMI port, plus a touchscreen.Oh, and it comes in several different colors.While the base model 14S is expected to start under the MacBook Neo's $700 starting price, there are still some questions about how well it can perform with just 8GB of RAM.

That's the sales pitch behind Anker's new MindBase, a small tower that ingests smart home data and makes choices for you, rather than bombarding you with alerts or passively logging events.
MindBase is essentially a NAS device with specialized AI smart home software.So, perhaps unsurprisingly, Anker is bundling the device in a kit that includes several Eufy cameras and motion sensors—local storage, local processing, the works.But MindBase supports "hundreds" of Matter devices, meaning that most (if not all) of the devices you already own should be compatible with it.
The Anker MindBase will debut with AI agents designed to monitor and respond to smart camera activity, though agents designed for robotic vacuums and energy monitoring are expected to come at a later date.Pricing and release details are still under wraps.It's worth noting that UGREEN revealed a similar device, called HomeAgent, at IFA 2026.
There are some things that we like more about UGREEN's offering, but Anker benefits from its popular Eufy smart home ecosystem, which has the potential to give MindBase a big head start in the AI smart home space.TP-Link Wi-Fi 8 routers Finally, a Wi-Fi upgrade that really makes sense We're still getting familiar with Wi-Fi 7, and many homes are firmly rooted in the old Wi-Fi 5 standard.In any case, there's a new number in town, and TP-Link is introducing it at IFA 2026.
TP-Link's new Wi-Fi 8 router lineup is comprised of a standalone Archer 8 router, a Deco 8 mesh system, a Roam 8 travel router, and a set of Wi-Fi 8 range extenders.Realistically, the mesh routers may benefit the most from Wi-Fi 8, which is primarily a coverage and reliability upgrade.You don't get any raw speed upgrades over Wi-Fi 7, but a three-pack of Deco 8 nodes can provide coverage for 910 square meters and utilize Multi-AP coordination to prevent the hiccups and slowdowns that typically happen as your device connections are handed off between access points within your home (if you've ever walked around with your phone while on a video call, you'll know how important this can be).
The first Archer 8 products are set to launch in October, with Deco 8 arriving in early 2027.Pricing is unknown, and it's unclear whether the U.S.launch will align with the European release window, as the U.S.
FCC currently requires conditional approval for new routers built abroad.Also, Wi-Fi 8 is not a finalized standard, meaning that none of the devices you currently own can actually leverage its benefits.Lexar Muse SSD The world's thinnest SSD Close Lexar's ultra-thin Muse SSD was the biggest shock of IFA 2026.
Offered in 500GB and 1TB variants, this drive measures just 0.15 inches (3.8mm) thick; roughly the size of five credit cards stacked together.It's so thin that it uses magnetic contacts in place of a standard USB-C port, and although it's clearly targeted toward mobile videographers, Lexar opted to build a separate MagSafe "pocket" instead of cramming Qi-2 magnets into the drive itself.You might assume that the Muse's speed is compromised by its super-thin design.
Oddly, that's simply not the case.Although the drive doesn't match the speeds of newer USB4 external SSDs, its 1,050 MBps write speed and 1,000 MBps read speed are good enough for 4K 120FPS ProRes footage and plainly better than an SD card.Pricing will determine whether the Muse drive is a success, as people are unlikely to pay a huge premium for a super-thin drive in today's market conditions.
Unfortunately, Lexar hasn't revealed any pricing details yet, so it's hard to be optmistic.The good news is that this ultra-high-density storage technology is here to stay, it should eventually become a common standard, and we got to be among the first to experience it.Belkin UltraCharge Pro Semi-solid-state Power Bank Super-slim batteries that last for years Semi-solid-state battery technology isn't a new thing, but Belkin is the first big name to embrace it.

Hybrid batteries are expected to last up to five years of regular use (possibly more), which is why it's great to finally have one from a reputable brand that can be held to a certain level of accountability.There are two models of Belkin's new hybrid batteries.The larger unit features a 10,000mAh capacity and 60-watt PD, while the other sports a 5,000mAh capacity and a super-slim 8.8mm build ("40% thinner" than the competition).

Mammotion claims the overlapping of these technologies prevents drift and ensures stable mapping across difficult terrains and low-light.The Luba 4 AWD can also handle steep inclines with active front-wheel steering, independent torque vectoring, and bidirectional driving that avoids damaging your grass.The lineup includes three models that can manage lawns ranging from 0.75 acres to 3 acres.
Cutting width spans from 17.3-inches to 20.9-inches across the models.Pre-orders will open up later this year, but pricing information was not shared.The question is, can we afford this stuff? As always, the IFA trade show serves as a sort of crystal ball for the upcoming year of tech.
But this year's excitement was lampshaded by the spectre of ever-rising prices.Enthusiasts may spend the next few months saving up for the cutting-edge tech that debuted at IFA 2026, but many people will be priced out of the equation.The good news, of course, is that these tech advancements are here to stay.
They will eventually find their way into your hands, even if you can't afford them on day one.
