Sky announces surprise comeback of iconic channel returning to TVs this month

Sky said it would offer “showstopping new TV alongside much-loved favourites”.“Sky One will become the home of Sky’s unmissable comedy and entertainment programmes, including new shows The Dyers’ Caravan Park and Gemma Collins: Four Weddings and a Baby, as well as fan favourites Rob & Romesh Vs.., The Paper and Ted,” Sky said in a press release.The newly resurrected channel is also set to become the home of Saturday Night Live UK, this isle’s attempt to mirror the zeitgeist-defining, decades long success of America's Saturday Night Live, known colloquially as SNL.The format will closely resemble the US show, with a weekly celebrity host presenting satirical sketches from a team of comedians, plus live music guests.Article continues below ADVERTISEMENTSky said Sky One will replace outgoing channels Sky Showcase and Sky Max.
