Calibre is one of the best tools for managing and reading eBooks on your computer, especially for synchronizing your library with a standalone reader.Now, Calibre 9.5 is rolling out with more interface updates and bug fixes, on top of several other recent updates.First, Calibre 9.5 has a new optional column for showing your reading progress.
You can enable it from Preferences > Add your own columns, clicking the plus button, then selecting Read progress.There’s also a new option to filter by highlight style in the annotations browser, and the driver for Tolino eReaders now supports newer firmware versions.Also, when editing books, there’s a tool to remove unused images, much like the existing feature to remove unused CSS—that can help trim down file sizes without sacrificing any contents.
When reading an eBook, you can now display the pages from the paper book page list (instead of the digital pages), if that data is available in the file.There’s also a reset button in the reading stats panel, if you want to start fresh.Finally, there’s a pile of bug fixes, in the below list.
