Despite its diminutive size it packs a surprising audio punch, with good bass and volume that gets loud enough to vibrate the whole unit.I don’t usually crank it up that loud, and this is not the speaker to get if you want true room-filling sound at the best quality. My use is mostly when I want to listen to music or podcasts when chilling or cooking and want something better than my phone’s speaker. Its portability means I can quickly grab it and move from room to room, hardly something I can do with the mains powered sound system in my living room.

The rubberised build means it’s also drop proof up to 1.2mI’ve found the 12 hours of battery life claim to be accurate - you won’t have to charge it much, but when you do there’s an USB-C port. And if you find one Miniroll isn’t enough, you can pair several of the things together using clever Auracast tech that’s built in, and create a sound system that’s party ready.I’m not sure how long this low price will last, but Amazon has labelled it as a “Limited time deal” so you may want to pick one up now so that it arrives in time for Christmas, and it can be used straight away for a round of carol sing-a-longs.
