When you set up a bespoke sound profile, you'll take a hearing test that analyzes both your left and right ears and adjusts the sound output for each ear separately.As you can see in the screenshots, my right ear hears low frequencies a tad worse than my left ear, so my custom sound profile boosts low frequencies, but only in my right earbud.Adapt sound also allows you to select a preferred ear for calls.

Since I'm a leftie, I selected my left ear as the preferred ear for calls.Lastly, you can choose whether Adapt sound applies to calls, media, or both.Adapt sound can be an incredibly handy audio feature, especially if you have hearing loss.

It's not a miracle worker, but it can noticeably improve the listening experience with your earbuds or headphones.Android Developer options menu hides a few very handy audio options as well There's no reason not to enable Develop options Close Last but not least, the Android Developer options menu houses a few Bluetooth audio settings that you should check out, no matter which Android phone you own.Firstly, you need to enable Developer options, which is quite simple.

Next, just type Developer options in the search bar because the menu's located in different places depending on which phone you're using.Also, make sure your earbuds are connected.Once inside, scroll down until you reach the Bluetooth tab if you own a Pixel.

Open it and locate the Audio section.Once there, make sure HD Audio is enabled if it isn't already (it should be, but you never know).Next, open Bluetooth Audio Codec and make sure SBC isn't selected because it's the lowest-quality Bluetooth audio codec available on Android.

That said, if your earbuds only support SBC, then that's unfortunately your only option.If you own a Pixel device and a pair of Bluetooth earbuds that support the LHDC v5 codec (such as the Nothing Ear or Moto Buds 2 Plus), make sure it's selected because it's one of the best Bluetooth audio codecs available.If your earbuds instead support another high-quality codec, such as LDAC or aptX HD, be sure to use it instead of SBC or AAC.

Samsung Galaxy phones include the best selection of advanced audio options Among Android phones, Galaxy handsets offer the best selection of advanced audio features many people will find very useful.Between fine-tuning audio volume granularity, listening to two audio sources simultaneously on one phone, and synchronizing Bluetooth audio with videos so it doesn't lag when watching videos, Samsung really knocked it out of the park in this department.If there's one feature I'd like to see on every Android phone, it's hands down finer volume control.

It's extremely useful, and it's the One UI feature I miss the most on my Pixel 10 Pro.
