If reporting from MacRumors and Bloomberg is correct, the lower-cost MacBook, which is rumored to be released in multiple colors, could be announced as soon as Wednesday.According to MacRumors, Apple accidentally posted a regulatory document on its website that alluded to the existence of a yet-to-be-announced device called the MacBook Neo.

It’s possible Apple could blindside its most dedicated leakers, but the reports are pointing to the company releasing a low-cost Chromebook competitor.While no concrete details have been confirmed about the new laptop in the MacBook family, it is thought to run on an iPhone chip, as opposed to a stronger M-series chip.There are also rumors that the device could come in some fun, bright colors, like the green, blue, and yellow of this week’s Apple event logo.
